Leads Group of Five Delta Lambda Brothers Taken in 2025 MLB Draft

LHP JAMIE ARNOLD ‘22

Junior | Sports Management

Drafted as a junior by the Oakland Athletics with the 11th overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft, Jamie Arnold cemented his place among Florida State Baseball’s elite. The 23rd first-round selection in Seminole history, he was just the third FSU pitcher ever drafted in the first round — the highest-drafted Seminole pitcher in thirty years.

As Team Captain, Arnold delivered another dominant season in 2025, earning widespread national recognition, including:

     • Consensus All-American (back-to-back seasons)

     • First Team All-ACC (back-to-back seasons)

     • Tallahassee Regional Most Outstanding Player

     • Tallahassee Regional All-Regional Team

     • Golden Spikes Award semi-finalist (Best Amateur

        Baseball Player in America)

     • Dick Howser Trophy semi-finalist (College Baseball

        Player of the Year)

     • College Baseball Foundation Pitcher of the Year

        finalist

Statistically, Arnold spent the 2025 season operating in rare air, allowing just 28 runs on 63 hits spread over the 84.2 innings he logged in 15 starts. For the season, he struck out 119 batters while giving up just 27 walks  an impressive rate of 12.65 strikeouts against 2.8 walks per nine innings!

Arnold's 2.98 ERA in 2025 was 3rd-best in the ACC, holding opponents to a meager .208 batting average and allowing just 1.8 runs per game.

His sophomore campaign in 2024 was equally dominant. Compiling a record of 11–3 with a 2.98 ERA, Arnold struck out 159 batters across 105.2 innings while giving up only 26 walks. For the season, he earned First Team All-American honors, was named a College Baseball Foundation Pitcher of the Year finalist, and was a semi-finalist for both the Golden Spikes Award and Dick Howser Trophy. Highlighting the year was a career-high 17-strikeout performance against Pitt, the most by a Seminole pitcher since 1987.

As a freshman in 2023, Arnold appeared in 24 games, including eight starts, striking out 49 batters over 44.0 innings in those eight starts. He was also part of a triple play at No. 8 TCU -- Florida State’s first triple play since 2009.

A 2022 graduate of Tampa Jesuit High School, Arnold led his team to the Florida 5A State Baseball Championship in his senior year, and also played basketball for the Tigers.

Within Delta Lambda, Brother Arnold is known not only for his athletic achievements, but also for being an active, well-liked brother. His selection as the 2024 Pikes Illustrated cover boy was an easy decision, as he represents the chapter so well on and off the field while proudly carrying on a family tradition: Jamie’s father, Jimmy Arnold ‘92, played football at UCF, where he was also a member of Pi Kappa Alpha!

CF MAX WILLIAMS

Drafted as a junior by the Miami Marlins in the third round (78th overall) of the 2025 MLB Draft, Williams emerged as one of Florida State’s most complete and consistent offensive performers during his Seminole career.

Appearing in 57 games during the 2025 season, the left-handed slugger hit .316 over 234 at-bats, with 19 home runs and nine doubles among his 74 hits, amassing 53 RBIs. A disciplined presence at the plate, he drew 19 walks for the second consecutive year and added two stolen bases. Defensively, Williams was equally reliable, posting a .991 fielding percentage with 111 putouts and three assists.

For his efforts, Williams earned Second Team All-ACC honors and was named to the All-Southeast Regional Second Team. Excelling as much in the classroom as on the field, the Finance major earned a place on the All-ACC Academic Honor Roll for the second consecutive year.

Williams’ first appearance for Florida State was as a sophomore on Opening Day 2024, when he launched a home run in his first at-bat as a Seminole. For the season, he started 52 games, batting .311 with 62 hits, including 13 home runs, 11 doubles, and four triples, while driving in 46 RBIs and scoring 57 runs. He also drew 19 walks and reached base nine additional times via hit-by-pitch.

Between April 11–19, 2024, Williams put together a streak of five consecutive multi-hit games, highlighted by a career-high four-hit performance against Mercer (April 16). The stretch began with a 2-for-4, three-RBI outing against rival Miami, punctuated by hitting the game-winning two-run homer.

During the season, Williams scored three runs in a single game on four occasions, including the NCAA Super Regional against UConn (June 7). His postseason impact continued when his home run in the Tallahassee Regional final helped propel Florida State to the Super Regionals (June 2).

Williams began his collegiate career in 2023, as a freshman at Alabama, where he hit .320 over 18 games with three doubles, seven RBIs, and four runs scored, while also reaching base via five walks, one hit-by-pitch, and adding one stolen base. Defensively, he was perfect in 10 fielding opportunities.

Prior to entering college, Williams played summer ball for the Mankato (Minnesota) Moondogs of the Northwoods League, where he hit .316 with five home runs and 21 doubles over 50 games, earning All-Star honors.

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Williams graduated from Clay High School in Green Cove Springs, Florida, where he was ranked 21st nationally among the Top 100 high school outfielders. Now, Brother Williams takes the next step as he begins his professional baseball career.

2B DREW FAUROT

Junior | Communications

Drafted as a junior by the Miami Marlins in the fourth round (108th overall) of the 2025 MLB Draft, Drew Faurot continued Florida State Baseball’s strong tradition of elite middle infield talent by earning his place at the professional level.

A fixture in the Seminoles’ lineup throughout the 2025 season, Faurot started all 58 games at second base, posting a .307 batting average (67 hits in 218 at-bats) with 28 walks and 51 RBIs. Displaying legitimate power, he recorded 16 home runs and eight doubles, establishing himself as one of the ACC’s most productive infield bats.

Faurot delivered several signature performances during the season, including a breakout performance against No. 6 Florida on March 26, when he drove in a career-high five runs on two home runs, highlighted by a towering grand slam. Later in the year (May 4–9, 2025), Faurot authored one of the most impressive offensive displays in Florida State history, tying a school record by reaching base safely in 12 consecutive at-bats across three games. The streak included five home runs, three doubles, and two walks, while driving in nine RBIs. During that stretch, his batting average jumped an astonishing 49 points, from .286 to .335. In recognition of his outstanding Junior campaign, Faurot earned First Team All-ACC honors and was named to the Tallahassee Regional All-Regional Team.

His sophomore season was defined not only by his offensive consistency, but also by exceptional play on the basepaths, where Faurot was a perfect 10-for-10 on stolen base attempts. Defensively, he committed just four errors, an exceptionally low total for a middle infielder. Not surprisingly, the season concluded with his selection to the ACC All-Tournament Team.

Beginning his collegiate career at UCF, Faurot's power quickly earned the respect of opponents in a season highlighted by three grand slams. For his efforts in 2023, he earned Freshman All-American honors and was a unanimous selection to the AAC All-Freshman Team.

A graduate of Florida High School in Tallahassee, Faurot was a four-year letterman in both football and baseball, having spent his entire prep career in the shadow of Florida State’s home field. Named Tallahassee “Football Player of the Year” as a senior (2021–22), he was also selected to the All-Big Bend First Team in baseball.

Transferring to Florida State after his freshman season, continuing a family legacy with the Seminoles. His father, Adam Faurot, played third base and shortstop for Florida State from 1993–96, before embarking on a professional career in the Red Sox and Brewers organizations. Brother Drew now follows his dad to the next level as he begins to chart his own path at the professional level.
